Résumé

As we celebrate 10 years of progress restoring the Lakes and River and keeping them healthy and vibrant for generations to come, we must recognize the work yet to be done. Cities can lead the way on this important work to find ways to eliminate invasive species, ensure a clean water supply to drink and enjoy, and help communities grow and develop in a manner that takes full advantage of this freshwater system while sustainably managing it. We have our work cut out for us but if the last 10 years are any indication, I am confident cities can make more good things happen faster. I look forward to working with all of you to ensure our children, grandchildren, and all future generations can drink the water, eat the fish and swim in our Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River.
